Welcome to momscharlotte.com, the place to be for moms who are on the go and in the know. This site is a place for moms to connect, share, laugh and help one another. And we give you many ways to do that:
Welcome to momscharlotte.com
Michelle Crouch (username webmomster1) and Jen Rothacker (username webmomster2) are co-editors of this site and good friends who lead somewhat parallel lives. They're both short, energetic and even had their second babies on the same day. Though they don't really look alike, people constantly mix them up - even before they decided to share the job of editing this site.
Michelle is the mother of two girls, ages 4 and 2, with a third on the way in August. (That one's a boy!) She worked as a reporter at The Observer for seven years, going part-time after the birth of her first daughter. After her second daughter was born in 2006, she moved into editing, mostly working nights and weekends on the Observer's local section. She loves trying new restaurants, traveling (not much time to do that these days) and sharing "highs" and "lows" with her children over dinner.
See those dark circles under Jen's eyes? Thank her two sons, ages 5 and 2, who keep her hopping as early as 5:30 a.m. each day! In addition to running this web site, writing a column for the Observer and editing on the weekends and at night, Jen's life essentially evolves around the boys, her husband (and fellow Observer reporter) and black lab Chase (who enjoys decapitating superhero action figures). She's also a diehard UNC fan. Go Heels!
